My wife Phyllis and I wish to express our deepest appreciation for Curtis and Diana performing a beautiful duet together singing Forever Yours by Wintley Phipps at our daughter's wedding back in 2010. I have been playing it over and over again with tears in my eyes and using the memory as a healing and calming balm for my soul. We are forever thankful for that gift given to me, Phylli, Courtney my daughter and Kenny my son-in-law. God bless you Diana til we all meet up with Curtis again. Warmest Regard, Juan

In the words of Maya Angelou "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Curtis always made everyone he met feel welcome and cherished. I will always remember his beautiful, warm smile and great hugs. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Diana and the Alexander family.

From the moment we met Curtis and Diana, we knew we were embarking on a lasting relationship. Kyle and Reesa may have brought us together, but our becoming family had to be a divine plan. We created so many memories together in a few short years and at every east coast family gathering we will miss being swept into his warm embraces, watching him entertain and teach all the children who gravitated to this giant and sweet singer with the huge heart. Our grief is palpable because we have lost our beloved brother and friend and because it hurts to see what this loss does to people we love so dearly. Diana, we love you and this family you, Curtis, and God created together, and we want you to know how much we appreciate how both of you welcomed our daughter and made her your daughter. To all the family and friends of Curtis Alexander Sr., we offer our deepest condolences and the promise of God that, if faithful, we will see Curtis soon and very soon.

Diana we were very sadden to hear of Curtis passing. We'll always treasure the time we all were together at valley fellowship. Although we all went different directions in where we worshiped, the memories live on in our hearts. We'll miss Curtis but I know we'll all see him again when our savior comes for all of us that's living with that hope of glory. We love you dearly and know you're forever in our hearts.

When I met "dad" for the 1st time, his daughter Amber asked me to help look at wedding venues. Since that day, I have always felt like part of the family. Dad was a devoted man of God and that was noticeable in his everyday life. The way he loved his wife, kids, and grandkids. The way he counted me as one of the family. His infectious smile and laugh. You could always see that the Lord and the love was present when I was around him. He was loved by so many and I believe many looked to his example not only as a Christian, but as a decent human being. While he is no longer here with us on earth, we keep him alive in our hearts, our memories, and our actions. Until we reunite with him and the Lord one day ~ We love you dad.

I remember Uncle Curt as a kind and soft spoken person. He always greeted me and my family with a warm tight hug and I will never forget his beautiful contagious smile. I am very grateful for the times that I was welcomed in the Alexander family home and gatherings.

May the Lord comfort the Alexander family during this difficult and sensitive time.

Uncle Curtis had superpowers.  

One in particular can be found in those that were close to him.  I have even been told I have it too.  I learned from Uncle Curtis that we yield this power freely and proudly to any and everyone we can.  

If you recall anytime Uncle Curtis hugged you, there was undeniably less hell after that.   The Alexander family has honed this built in ability. 

Through them, I have grown more confident in the power to hug the absolute hell out of you. 

And I'll do too.

I did not know Curtis Alexander Sr however I know Curtis Alexander Jr. who is a compassionate, loving and caring man. Through knowing Curtis Jr. I feel I in some way have met Curtis Alexander Sr. as his reflection illuminates through his son. Truly the circle of life.
